Lindsey Wilson volleyball hosts Georgetown By Benjamin Riegger The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team hosts fellow Mid-South Conference member Georgetown University at 6:30pmCT on Tuesday, October 30 at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. Tuesday's matchup marks the 46th meeting of the programs with LWC leading 28-17 all time. The last time they met was on October 2, where the Blue Raiders swept the Tigers 25-21, 25-19, and 25-13. No. 6 Blue Raiders (25-3, 12-0 MSC) defeated Life University (GA) 3-0 on Friday night. Klara Mikelova notched herself a season-high seven aces from the serving line, in addition to her seven kills in the matchup. LWC is ranked third in both Hitting percentage (.303) and Kills per set (14.04) in the NAIA, while leading the MSC in those categories. Lindsey Wilson is using the service line to their advantage, producing a total of 171 aces, with four Blue Raiders recording over 20 aces. Mikelova leads LWC with 45 aces on the season. Georgetown (17-11, 9-3 MSC) lost to Campbellsville (Ky.) in a close five-set game last on October 23. Sarah Bell set a new career-high with 65 assists, along with Ashton Meckle setting a career-high 23 kills. Mckala Bozman tied her career-record with 18 kills. The Tigers offensive effort is led by Bell, who has 35 aces and averaging nearly 10 assists per game. The defensive effort for the Tigers is led by Bozman with 48 blocks.
