Flags at half-staff to honor victims of Pittsburgh tragedy By Nicole Burton Frankfort, KY - - In accordance with the proclamation by President Donald Trump, and with respect for those killed in the tragedy at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, both American and state flags at public office buildings are lowered to half-staff beginning immediately until sunset on Oct. 31, 2018, to honor the victims and their families. "Kentucky joins our nation in mourning those who were brutally slain this weekend while worshipping in Pittsburgh," said Gov. Matt Bevin. "We earnestly pray for healing for the loved ones, fellow congregants and all community members impacted by this despicable act of evil." All individuals, businesses, organizations, and government agencies are encouraged to join in this tribute of lowering the flag to honor the victims and families of this tragedy.
