Gilbert Brock, 79, Adair County, KY (1938-2018)

He was a member of Calvary Temple Church and retired from Ingersoll-Rand. He was married to Ina Ruth Brock who preceded him in death on November 3, 1990 and later married Barbara Allen who survives.

Gilbert Brock, 79, of Columbia, KY died Monday, October 22, 2018 at 4:57pmCT at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11amCT at Calvary Temple Church with Pastor Troy McWhorter and Bro. David Hansel officiating. Burial will follow in Tarter's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is after 4pmCT Thursday and after 7amCT Friday at Calvary Temple Church.



He was born November 9, 1938 in Adair County to Elbert and Ethel Parson Brock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Sherry Wolford and the following siblings - Clarence, Lawrence, James & Russell Brock, Annie Elmore, Maerene Shirley and Hattie Moore.

He was a member of Calvary Temple Church and retired from Ingersoll-Rand.

He was married to Ina Ruth Brock who preceded him in death on November 3, 1990 and later married Barbara Allen.

Survivors include
  • His wife - Barbara Allen Brock of Columbia
  • One son - Ray (Jennifer) Brock of Columbia
  • Four daughters - Phyllis (David) Hansel of Columbia, Lisa Brock Ford, Tammy (Troy) McWhorter, Lesa (Daniel) Nimmie, all of Campbellsville
  • Three brothers - Arvis (Pauline) Brock of Mt. Washington, Paul Brock of Shepherdsville, Lester (Charlene) Brock of Columbia
  • Two sisters - Juanita (David) Day, Wanda (Larry) Mauk all of Columbia
  • 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
Casket Bearers will be Spencer Hansel, Jonathan Hansel, Ryan Ford, Trevor McWhorter, Jacob Nimmie, Anthony Day and Brody Brock. Honorary - Cody Wolford.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
