Lindsey Wilson volleyball on the road at Cumberland on Tuesday

No. 6 Lindsey Wilson volleyball is on the road against fellow Mid-South Conference member Cumberland (Tenn.) at 7pmCT, Tuesday, October 23 at Dallas Floyd Recreation Center, McClain Ave, Lebanon, TN.

Lindsey Wilson (23-3, 10-0 MSC) remains undefeated in the MSC after a 3-0 victory over Shawnee State (Ohio) Monday evening. Sarah Cruz, Grace Blomstedt and Klara Mikelova all produced a game-high nine kills. Autumn proctor chipped in with 29 assists and Lilo Larzelere led the defensive effort with 13 digs.


The Blue Raider offense ranks first in the MSC and second in the NAIA for hitting percentage at .304. LWC leads the MSC in kills, averaging 14 kills per set. Klara Mikelova is helping offensively at the service line by producing 34 aces, ranking her sixth in the MSC in service aces.

Cumberland (11-14, 5-5 MSC) returns to action from a 3-0 victory over Pikeville (Ky.) Saturday evening. The Phoenix offensive attack is led by Masa Nalovic, who is hitting .264 with 244 kills. Lyssette Serna has chipped in for the Phoenix, producing 35 aces, placing her in a tie for third in the MSC for service aces.

Tuesday's matchup marks the 52nd meeting with Lindsey Wilson leading the series 35-16. The last meeting occurred on September 25, with the Blue Raiders winning in straight sets, 25-13, 25-12, 25-14.
