V. H. Gasaway, 76, of Lousville, formerly of Russell Co., KY, died Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Nortons Women/Children Hospital in Louisville.

The funeral service for V. H. Gasaway will be at 1pmCT on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Timo Karvonen officiating. Burial will follow in the Russell County Memorial Gardens.

The family requests visitation from 10amCT to 1pmCT on Thursday.


He was born September 23, 1942 in Louisville, KY, to the late Virgil H. & Vivian Lois Rexroat Gasaway.

He was an employee of Fischer's Meat Packing Company.

Survivors include:
  • Four children, Shelly Brown of Russell Springs, and Alecia (Richie) Dunn, Sean (Susan) Gasaway, and Michael (Rebekah) Gasaway, all of Louisville, KY
  • Nine grandchildren
  • Four great grandchildren
  • Three sisters: Azilee Pierce of Elizbethtown, KY, Noyce Skaggs of Hodgenville, KY, and Patty Wade of Crestwood, KY
