Winning Squarecrow 2018 is Bloomington Chapel Church

By Linda Waggener

The highest vote-getting Squarecrow 2018, making it the People's Coice, was #19 Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ Church. Their Squarecrow, and all 68 Squarecrows, can still be seen until the end of the month.

Executive Director Ellen Zornes said, "The Chamber of Commerce wishes to thank everyone who stopped by the Retired Teachers’ Booth to cast their vote for the Squarecrow People’s Choice Award. The judges’ awards will be announced a little later.

The winning #19 can be seen in the flowerbed at the corner of Greensburg Street and the Public Square in Columbia. The church will receive a $25 prize. More information on the winning Squarecrows will be added as it is received.

Zornes said, "We appreciate all 68 Squarecrows...the most ever. They’ll stay up for everyone’s enjoyment through Treats on the Town Halloween night when we’ll see you on the square...in Columbia!"
