Chance of severe weather this week

Mike Keltner, Director of Adair Co. Emergency Management, sends word of the chance of severe weather at the start of the week. Early this monring, the National Weather Service in Louisville issued the following Hazardous Weather Outlook for central Kentucky, including Adair and all surrounding counties:
There is low chance of severe weather late this afternoon and early evening due to thunderstorms developing along a frontal zone. Strongest storms could pose an isolated and brief threat of large hail and damaging winds.

Two waves of scattered storms are expected Tuesday night through Wednesday evening. These storms may become strong or severe, with all severe hazards as well as heavy rain and lightning possible. While severe weather is possible with the first wave late Tuesday night, the greatest severe potential should be Wednesday afternoon and evening.
